Euro-Med Congress for Radiographers

 Aims and Objectives -

'Helping you developing professionally today,

to meet the challenges of tomorrow'

In today high technology-driven industry, and new challenges in health care, Radiographers must keep themselves abreast with these latest developments.  For a growing organisation like E-MCR this is a great challenge that we take very seriously.

Established in 2005, E-MCR aims to become a resource for continuous professional development covering all the sub-specialties in radiation imaging and therapeutic sciences across the Euro-Mediterranean Region.

Our aims are to:

Organize Congresses on a regular basis to provide opportunity for ALL Radiographers in the Euro-Mediterranean region to present their work and experiences to their peers.  We strive to establish the Euro-Med Congress for Radiographers as the main European Radiography meeting.  Where possible, we provide simultaneous interpretation to overcome any language barriers.

Published the first European-based peer-reviewed Radiography journal, The European Journal of Radiography, to provide an opportunity to publish work-in-progress, interesting cases and other interesting material.  We strive to achieve citation in Medline and other medical databases.

Initiate research (once enough funds are available) in all areas of the Profession.  This will be delivered through Research Grants.

Provide a source of information and forums for professional discussions through our website www.e-mcr.org.

‘E-MCR more than a congress!
